My four year old just lost her first tooth. Never mind that I’m both excited and nervous at the same time😏. But something extraordinary happened during this event.
The overly excited toddler ran to me with tooth in hand, and through a slightly bloody, stained smile said; “Mommy, Mommy, I’m a big girl now, I’ve lost my baby tooth”.
You’d think she’d cry at the sight of blood, or the pinch of pain, or at the reality of losing a tooth; Nah!
But it wasn’t her maturity which impressed me the most. It’s the fact that she was able to identify God’s hand in the process.
“Mommy, I lost the tooth, but God had another one growing behind to replace it,” she said with mouth wide opened.
And in that moment a spiritual lesson quenched my thirsting soul and my mind comfortingly whispered; “Look at God!”

In our spiritual walk with Christ, He will take away things to make room for something better, bigger, and more satisfying. As Christian’s we have to start looking at changes in our lives as God’s way of pruning and shaping our faith. Sometimes it’s going to be hard to see God’s hand working through bitter, painful experiences, but if we trust Him, then we’ll realize that our most painful and weakest experiences are the ones that causes our faith to be strengthened.
I truly believe that when God takes something away, it is because He has something greater planned.
The Bible says in Deuteronomy chapter 30;
God, your God, will restore everything you lost; he’ll have compassion on you; he’ll come back and pick up the pieces from all the places where you were scattered.
Before Sarai lost her primary tooth, another one was already growing in place to replace it.
The reality of losing her tooth wasn’t devastating to this toddler. Why? Because she already saw and felt another growing in its place.
In the same way, we have to understand that God already has stronger and better things in store for us. We may not always see Him working, but we must believe and know that, “in all things, God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose”(Romans 8:28).
So my dear friend, I just stopped by today to tell you with all surety; “this too shall pass!”
I came by to tell you, “brace yourself, it’s going to be rough, but…

Whether it’s our hearts, finances, health, relationships or lives that need mending, God always has a plan to heal and restore.
Although I don’t know God’s exact plans for my future, I do know He is good, and my restoration is on His holy to-do list.
Total surrender and faithfulness will always open the door for God’s restoration to begin.
You don’t know how or when, but God will restore everything that has been lost.
Smile! It’s already done!
Amen 🙏🏽, I felt every word shared. It was touched and received in the name of the father, son and holy spirit 💙 🙌🏾

GM Sis. Melody prayall is well. I can relate. I am still amazed by the lessons God has taught me through my kids, and some of them were through insignificant things, or so my thinking was. I love how our God can use anything to get to us. Have a blessed week.
